1/26/07 - SoundLoud-Selling music with a Rich Internet Application. (Ryan Stewart for ZDNET/The Universal Desktop)
The more I talk to the people in the industry the more I believe that widgets have a huge place in the market of Rich Internet Applications. Creating a subset of your application and deploying it in other places isn't new, but with RIA technologies we can do so in a way that differentiates our applications and adds some richness to an otherwise bland web property. The plethora of widgets on MySpace lends some credence to this but one of the more sound business models I've come across is from SoundLoud and their SoundStation music player. I talked with Shaun Newsum, CEO and co-founder to get more information on the service. Click here for full article.

11/02/06 - SoundStation Takes on Snocap and MySpace Music. (Pete Cashmore for Mashable.com)
SoundLoud is a new service, launched in the past two weeks, that aims to help artists sell their music through social networking widgets. Built by a two-man team and based in New York, the site's core service is the SoundStation Music Store, a music player widget combined with a store that lets you buy tracks via credit card. If that sounds familiar, it's because the Napster founder's Snocap service beat them to launch, and has since teamed up with MySpace to offer the service directly through MySpace Music.
